About Matembela

Matembela is a type of vegetable – it is the leafy part of a specific kind of sweet potato. It is also the name of a Ranger who died, who was named as such because his mother had urges to each matembela when she was pregnant!
Matembela
Matembala himself has similar character traits to Mahindure – playful, mischievous, and often daring! On 4 April 2004 there was an interaction between Humba and Rugendo, and as a result Matembela left to live with the Rugendo family. His move was short-lived however and he soon realized he missed his family and friends and returned home on 4 June 2004. He has never strayed since.
